Why Are Women Bitches to Each Other

I will never understand why women are so mean to each other. Sizing each other up, putting each other down. All for what ? Attention for guys ? I am honestly asking right now. What is the problem ladies. Why all of the competitiveness ? I will say it is not sexy and repelling.
